Materials Needed

1. There is no textbook for this class. All readings are linked from the project for the week's assignment pages.
2. You will need access to the internet and an email account.
3. The computer you use must be able to run the most recent versions of Internet Explorer or Firefox or another current browser.
4. In addition, your computer should have the following installed:
• The free, basic Real Audio Player and QuickTime.
• Adobe Flash and Shockwave plug-ins
• Adobe Acrobat PDF reader or Foxit Reader.
• Western students may purchase the entire Microsoft Office Suite for a relatively low price. The software is sold through the UW-Madison site at: http://wiscsoftware.wisc.edu/wisc/ On campus, you may purchase the software through PC Service in the basement of the Business Building. Or, if you have some technical skill there is a free office suite available from OpenOffice at: http://www.openoffice.org/
